Team Members From London Celebrate Second Annual Hilton Worldwide Global Week Of Service
Local Volunteers Join Thousands of Team Members Across 90 Countries and Territories by Serving Local Charities

LONDON - In celebration of Hilton Worldwide’s second annual Global Week of Service, October 6 – 12, volunteers from the company’s London portfolio have taken part to provide support for local causes. Community service is a tradition embedded in Hilton Worldwide’s culture, and acts of volunteerism occur year-round across the six distinct brands and more than 250 properties in Europe. The London hotels’ efforts were part of Hilton Worldwide’s week-long celebration of the company’s commitment to serving the communities where Team Members live, work and travel, which this year included hundreds of hands-on service projects globally.
The Trafalgar Hotel – worked closely with its partner charity, Cancer Research UK, as Team Members donated their time to attend Cancer Research UK’s Pretty Muddy Race For Life and the Royal Parks Half Marathon Cheering Squad on Sunday 6 October. The hotel also took part in a donations-drive, encouraging Team Members and visitors to donate books, clothing, DVDs and accessories that will be passed on to Cancer Research UK and Barnardos shops. The team are also working closely with Barnardos to set up a number of careers/skills workshops that will run later in the month.
Hilton London Tower Bridge – donated Peter Thomas Roth branded toiletries to local homeless shelter, Whitechaple Mission, on Tuesday 8 October. The support the hotel gave helped the charity to provide those in need with a warm, dry shelter for the night.
Hilton London Canary Wharf – took part in two days of volunteering and community events for residents and families of Richard House Children’s Hospice. On Wednesday, 9 October, hotel volunteers helped to transform the hospice garden into a tranquil haven in the middle of the city. Today, the hotel will also host a dinner party for the children and families of hospice residents at the hotel.
London Hilton on Park Lane - attended Willow Park Montessori Nursery on Wednesday, 9 October, to garden, paint and host an afternoon tea. Head chef, Anthony Marshall and his team, baked 80 Hilton branded cupcakes for the children and their parents, especially for the occasion.
Hilton London Kensington – gifted essential supplies of food, shampoo, shower gel and toiletries to the Rugby Portobello Trust, a local homeless shelter on Thursday 10 October. Tinned food and non-perishables were gathered during a food drive at the hotel.
DoubleTree by Hilton properties in London and members of the DoubleTree by Hilton corporate team – yesterday partnered with Thames 21, one of the country’s leading waterway charities, to help clear litter from the banks of a tributary running into the River Thames to improve the area for wildlife. They were also joined by children from local school, Haseltine Primary.
Hilton London Metropole – volunteers will assist today at the Time Of Your Life Health Fair, an annual event focussed on healthy and active ageing for older people, in Kensington Town Hall. Team Members will help set up the venue, greet guests upon arrival and serve tea, coffee and sandwiches.
Hilton London Wembley – will today see Team Members donate time out of their day to attend the Chalk Hill Community Centre to paint and decorate. The team will repaint the centre’s main hall, meeting rooms, reception area and corridors, providing the local community with a fresh and revitalised space to enjoy.
