More Museums participating In Hilton Athen's Cultural Package
January 19, 2011
ATHENS - After the successful cooperation with Benaki Museum last year, Hilton Athens created a new cultural package with the participation of six top Greek museums.
The package is called “Cultural Weekend for Two” and offers free entrance for two people at the Acropolis Museum, the Byzantine Museum, the Museum of Cycladic Art, the Benaki Museum, the Benaki Museum on Piraeus Street and the Museum of Islamic Art.
All guests that book through this package will be offered free passes for two people, providing access to six of the most important museums in Greece: the Acropolis Museum, which exhibits all the significant finds from the Sacred Rock and its foothills, the Byzantine Museum, which exhibits the Byzantine and Post-Byzantine cultural heritage in the Hellenic territory, the Museum of Cycladic Art, dedicated to the ancient cultures of the Aegean and Cyprus, the Benaki Museum, a wonderful neoclassical building presenting the historical and cultural development of Hellenism, the Benaki on Piraeus Street, with its avant-garde architecture and contemporary art exhibitions and the Museum of Islamic Art, located in the historic centre of Athens, near the ancient Kerameikos cemetery. In addition, guests will have 10% discount at the gift shops of the Acropolis Museum, the Byzantine Museum, the Museum of Cycladic Art and the Benaki Museum (main building).
“The success of the cultural package that we created in 2010 exceeded our expectations. We are very happy that some of the most important museums of the country have enthusiastically responded to our invitation to create a new cultural package, which will constitute an incentive for our guests to see the many different aspects of Greek culture from antiquity until today. This initiative is part of the wider interest of the Hilton Athens towards art and culture” said Agnes Szeidl, the new Director of Business Development at the Hilton Athens.
“Cultural Weekend for Two” is valid until the 17th of December 2011 and includes a 2-night comfortable stay in a Double Hilton Guestroom including rich buffet breakfast at the Byzantino restaurant and access to the indoor pool, fitness room and sauna of the Hiltonia Spa. “Cultural weekend for Two” offers a unique experience to the weekend visitors of Athens for only €249 in total.
