Hilton Worldwide Appoints Philippie Kronberg As General Manager At Hilton Guangzhou Baiyun

GUANGZHOU, China - Hilton Worldwide today announced the appointment of Philippe Kronberg as the general manager of Hilton Guangzhou Baiyun. Philippe Kronberg will report to Timothy Soper, the Vice President Operations, Greater China and Mongolia while assuming responsibilities for hotel operations, including the recruitment, leadership and development of the management team, overall vision for all hotel team members, full financial accountability, creating and enforcing business objectives and goals, driving and delivering property wide projects and ensuring the quality and guest experiences are unique to our property and are consistent with the Hilton Brand. Philippe will also have key appointments with the media, local governments, and other businesses. Philippe started his new position on October 31, 2010 and will be based in Guangzhou.
Timothy Soper, vice president Operations, Greater China and Mongolia, Hilton Worldwide, said, "Philippe's vast experience in the hospitality sector and, in particular his intricate knowledge of the Asia market, will ensure that our discerning guests continue to have a unique experience at the Hilton Guangzhou Baiyun. Holding dual citizenship of France & Australia, Philippe is well versed in hotel management, having rich experience in the hospitality industry, over 10 years of which has been spent with the Hilton Group worldwide. His climb into the industry began with the Ritz London Ltd which was his ascendance right after his professional education from 'Les Roches' Switzerland. His previous role was General Manager task force for Conrad and Doubletree Sanya, prior to this, he held several senior management positions with Hilton Nagoya, Japan, Australian and Europe. Philippe's investment into the industry has culminated in his completion of his Hotel management MBA awarded by the University of New South Wales and University of Sydney.
