GOLD COAST, Australia - Guests at the soon-to-be-opened Hilton Surfers Paradise will have access to the Gold Coast’s best kept secrets with the latest technology at their fingertips.

Throughout their stay, guests of the $700 million Hilton Surfers Paradise will have access to Apple iPads and a custom-designed application 'Hilton Surfers' Secrets' to help them discover the Gold Coast’s best kept secrets. Designed and developed by Sydney-based agency Creative Licence Digital, the application will allow hotel guests to uncover the best of what the Gold Coast has to offer, from the best cup of coffee to the best restaurants, family friendly beach or where to be fitted for a new bikini.

An extensive list of best kept secrets was developed through surveys conducted by Hilton Surfers Paradise with Gold Coast locals ‘in the know’ to discover the best the Coast has to offer.

Gold Coast hot spots and local haunts that have made the list include the bar Shuck on Tedder Avenue in Main Beach, Sevilo Deli at Ferry Road, Southport and Harbour Day Spa at Broadbeach. The secrets also include the best spots for seafood, surf beaches, boutiques and yoga classes.

Hilton Surfers Paradise General Manager David Kelly said the iPad app would revolutionise the way guests experience the Gold Coast.

“There is so much to be discovered on the Gold Coast, even by those who have visited before, and the ‘Hilton Surfers’ Secret’s’ iPad app will ensure our guests get the most out of their stay on the Gold Coast” Mr Kelly said. “A key feature of the application is its ability to 'suggest' itineraries for guests based on a few short questions. When a guest has identified a 'secret' they are interested in, they can add the activity to their itinerary, which they then print or email to use throughout their stay.”

Creative Licence Digital Director Darren Winterford said they developed the application with an intuitive, intelligent user interface."Hilton has recognised the unparalleled levels of engagement that tablet devices like the iPad offer the user, namely what we call the 'touch-screen effect',” Mr Winterford said.

“There is a level of intimacy that a touch-screen device delivers that is far better than anything experienced on a desktop. With the rich media available on the iPad, guests of the Hilton Surfers Paradise can fully immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of the Gold Coast before making decisions on what to do on their stay."
