Hilton New York Appoints Richard Brown, Accomplished Chef, To Director Of Culinary At Manhattan's Largest Hotel
Former Executive Chef At AAA Five Diamond St. Regis New York To Oversee Culinary Operations At Hilton’s Flagship New York City Property

NEW YORK - Hilton New York is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Brown, a 20-plus year industry veteran, to Director of Culinary. Brown, a native New Yorker, possesses an extensive managerial background in hotel/restaurant food and beverage operations, most recently serving as executive chef at The St. Regis New York, a AAA Five Diamond property.
In his new role, Brown will oversee all of Hilton New York's culinary operations at its multiple dining outlets and banqueting venues. This will include development of new menus at Etrusca, the hotel's fine dining restaurant serving Tuscan cuisine, and New York Marketplace, serving breakfast and lunch with a distinctive American flair. Bridges Bar and Lobby Lounge, which offer light fare, cocktails, microbrews and signature drinks in a relaxing and convivial atmosphere, also fall under Brown's supervision.

Brown, who has more than 20 years of food and beverage experience, brings an extensive working knowledge of the industry to the Hilton New York. Prior to his arrival, he spent eight years as executive chef at the prestigious St. Regis New York, where he was responsible for creating menus for all of the hotel's outlets and special events; hiring, training and supervising a 50-person kitchen; and directing all phases of fiscal operations, including management of a $30 million annual budget.

Brown is a graduate of Manhattan's French Culinary Institute and Mercy College located in Dobbs Ferry, New York. He resides in Brooklyn with his wife Michelle and daughter, Stella.
