Hilton Minneapolis Caters To Its Global Community
Hotel's Talented Food And Beverage Team Creates Specialized Cuisine To Meet Multicultural Dietary Customs Of Its Diverse Guests

MINNEAPOLIS - In keeping with Hilton Worldwide's global commitment to the marketplace, Hilton Minneapolis is promoting diversity through a broad range of initiatives including accommodating the special dietary needs of its community.
Last year Executive Chef Julian Grainger and Director of Catering Kathy Roberts recognized an untapped demand to serve Minneapolis' richly diverse international community. The team set out to reinvent the way the hotel approached its menu planning and delivery of client-driven specialized dietary requests.
As part of that vision, Hilton Minneapolis installed a Kosher Kitchen, purchased Kosher China and has scheduled training with the Rabbinical Supervisor's staff for Hilton's frontline employees.
Hilton Minneapolis also recently hosted the Minneapolis Community Kollel, where Rabbi Menachem Frank said, "the experience was well received by the Jewish Community and will serve as a vision of what we can enjoy in the coming years. Hotel catering options have been limited and it was truly a pleasure to experience the beautiful atmosphere, accommodating staff and delicious cuisine that Hilton was able to provide." The Minneapolis Community Kollel is an organization created to reconnect Jews with their heritage.
Chef Grainger personally customizes each menu by utilizing authentic recipes, some of which are provided by the client and their family members. In other instances, Hilton has partnered with local ethnic restaurants and has invited them to the hotel to prepare a special dish.
Hilton Minneapolis is committed to working closely with its client groups to plan and prepare functions with meals for a number of communities including African American, Eastern Indian, Hispanic, Jewish, Somali and Pakistani. These communities all have special customs, religious practices or dietary requirements or preferences.
Hilton Minneapolis has also had a long term relationship with the Multicultural Marketing Midwest Conference where they recently celebrated their 6th year in 2010.
