Hilton London Metropole Gets £1.8 Million Facelift

LONDON - Guestrooms at Hilton London Metropole will be given a modern twist by introducing a contemporary design in fresh colors. New furniture, carpets, lighting and ultra-comfortable beds will enhance the guest experience.
Avner On, the hotel's General Manager, comments: "The refurbishment of our Deluxe Plus bedrooms and public areas is part of an ongoing program of upgrades at the hotel in order to offer our guests the best possible experience. Whilst retaining the renowned Hilton service and our valued in-room amenities, we will provide them with a calming atmosphere that is perfect for working or relaxing."
The built-in continental and US sockets, ergonomic chairs, working areas and 32" LCD flat screens in all Deluxe Plus bedrooms and Apartments will offer guests increased comfort when staying at the hotel. An enhancement of all bathrooms will complement the new experience, providing guests with the perfect atmosphere to relax with a refreshing bath or shower and luxury Crabtree & Evelyn products.
Hilton London Metropole's West Wing, built in 2000, features 340 Deluxe Plus Rooms, including the hugely popular Family Rooms, known as the largest "Double Double" rooms in London with two Queen beds and a sofa bed, connecting rooms, as well as six long-stay Hilton Apartments. The building also holds the hotel's largest state-of-the-art ballrooms (two ballrooms from a total of 40 function rooms), which can accommodate up to 1,600 people each.
Other recent investments include a £2 million complete refurbishment in the hotel's Deluxe Rooms in the Tower building and a £500,000 project installing 32" flat screen LCD TVs in all bedrooms, both completed at the end of 2008. The latest investment involved a £200k transformation of the lift lobby and corridor leading to the Executive Lounge in the hotel's East Wing in May 2009.
