Hilton London Kensington Embraces Mad Hatter's Spirit For Charity Ball

LONDON - Alice in Wonderland fans will be in for a treat this spring as Hilton London Kensington embraces the Wonderland spirit for a Mad Hatter themed charity Ball.
The black tie event, held Saturday May 8, will be raising money for Hilton in the Community Foundation and local charity West London’s Action for Children. Both charities are committed to supporting disadvantaged children in need.
The evening will be punctuated with a range of features inspired by Lewis Carroll’s work. As well as a Wonderland style décor there will be a magician, a special themed menu including mock turtle soup, and £100 John Lewis voucher to be won as a prize for the night’s best hat.
The ball will offer its guests a range of treats. There will be a four course meal, dancing until late, pre-dinner cocktails sponsored by Black Grouse Whisky and FUNKIN, which provides fruit cocktail mixers, and some stunning raffle and auction prizes, including a Californian holiday with flights and a stay at the luxurious Hilton Orange County.
Alison Palin, General Manager at Hilton London Kensington, is delighted to be hosting the Ball. She said: “These events are always terrific nights and I’ve no doubt that this year will be just as much fun. The evening is a wonderful way for everyone associated with our hotel and community to get together in support of two very good causes."
West London Action for Children offers a range of counselling and therapy services for children in need, and their families, in the London boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea. They support families under stress to develop their confidence and skills to cope with the ordinary and extraordinary challenges of family life.
Hilton in the Community Foundation is committed to supporting the most disadvantaged young people through a targeted grant giving programme. The charity, which donates every net pound raised from events to charitable causes, has supported a number of projects in the Fulham and Hammersmith borough including Hammersmith and Fulham Mencap and BBC Children in Need.
This is the fourth annual Hilton London Kensington Ball in which time the events have raised a combined £53,063 for charity.
Simon Sheehan, Director Hilton in the Community Foundation, said: “Fundraising from past balls at the Hilton London Kensington has made a huge difference to the lives of many children in need and the hotel’s ball has now become a real highlight of the Foundation’s fundraising calendar. The team members at the hotel work so hard to deliver a fantastic event and I’m sure that this year’s Ball, with its wonderful Mad Hatters theme, will also be a great success and a night to remember.”
There are still limited tickets available for the ball. The evening starts at 6:45 p.m. with tickets costing just £60 or £600 for a table of ten.
