Hilton Hotels & Resorts Brings World Renowned ‘Pavement Picasso’ To Singapore
Consumers Can Guess The Hotel In Julian Beever’s Masterpiece To Win A Hilton Dream Ski And Stay Package

SINGAPORE and MCLEAN, Va. - World-renowned British pavement artist, Julian Beever will bring to life a signature Hilton Hotels & Resorts property on the floor of Singapore's largest retail and lifestyle destination, VivoCity from 4-10 October. Popularly known as the 'Pavement Picasso', Beever was engaged by the global hotel brand as part of its "Stay Hilton, Go Everywhere" campaign, to highlight its extensive portfolio of more than 540 properties in 76 countries.
Using the floor as his canvas, Beever will create a large chalk mural, measuring 4 meters by 5 meters, of a spectacular Hilton property in his signature, three-dimensional style. The artwork will be an illusion that distorts the perception of space and depth when viewed from a specific vantage point, making one feel as if the Hilton property in the artwork is right before their eyes.

Shoppers will see the artist in action and get a chance to win a fantastic ski and stay accommodation package for two at the prestigious Hilton Niseko Village, if they correctly guess the featured property and sign up as Hilton Hhonors members. Located in Hokkaido, Japan, Hilton Niseko Village combines adventure and nature with superb facilities and amenities to create a vacation unlike any other. All submissions for the competition must be placed inside the entry box located at the Hilton roadshow in VivoCity before 9 p.m., 10 October 2010 to qualify. Participants also have to sign up as Hilton HHonors® members, the comprehensive guest reward programme under Hilton Worldwide that enables members to earn points for hotel stays and enjoy exclusive benefits at any of the 3,600 hotels within the company's global portfolio of 10 hotel brands. This includes brands such as Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Doubletree.
Beever will start working on the mural on 4 October and is scheduled to complete the work on 8 October. The finished artwork will remain for public viewing until 10 October. After which, he will travel to Australia where he will draw another Hilton property on the walkways along Brisbane's Queen Street Mall.
Hilton Hotels & Resorts was recently named the top hotel brand in Asia for 2010 by global research company Taylor Nelson Sofres. The brand currently has 47 hotels in operation in Asia and more than 540 properties in 76 countries worldwide. In July, China's first luxury airport hotel - Hilton Beijing Capital Airport -- opened.
