Hilton Grants Access to Star-Studded GRAMMY Awards® to Eight Rocking Team Members

MCLEAN, Va. - As the 52nd Annual GRAMMY® Awards quickly approach on Sunday, January 31, Hilton Hotels is proud to recognize eight of the brand's Team Members for their own brand of star power. The winners of the first Hilton global video contest represent four countries and will enjoy Music's Biggest Night® while mingling with the industry's brightest stars.
In honor of the brand's 22nd year as a Recording Academy® partner and the official hotel sponsor of the GRAMMY Awards on Jan. 31, Hilton organized a global Team Member sweepstakes celebrating the powerful influence of music. The "Hilton Rockstar" Team Member giveaway encouraged employees to submit music, video and stories depicting the impact of music on their lives. The result was an overwhelming expression of originality from Hilton Team Members around the world.
"Our Team Members around the world are known for providing authentic Hilton hospitality. Now we know many also have an inner rock star. Entries expressed creativity, originality and talent - truly embodying the spirit of the GRAMMYs. We are excited to share the GRAMMY experience with Hilton Team Members and Guests," said Dave Horton, Global Head, Hilton Hotels brand.
Entries for the Hilton promotion poured in from the brand's hotels and offices around the world. A winner from Wilmington, North Carolina (U.S.) composed a funny, upbeat guitar solo, and a front desk manager from Bonn (Germany) fused a current pop favorite with a photo collage.
The winners represent a global Hilton family and support the brand in a number of capacities, from bellman to night auditor to pool and beach attendant. All, however, share a common appreciation for the power of musical expression:

As befitting their standout talent, each of the eight winners will receive VIP treatment: roundtrip airfare for two to Los Angeles to attend the GRAMMY Awards and GRAMMY Celebration After Party, along with a complimentary three night stay at the historic Hilton Checkers.
In addition to the "Hilton Rockstar" Team Member giveaway, Hilton also sponsored a second sweepstakes to benefit The GRAMMY Foundation. Hilton extended the opportunity for Hilton HHonors members to use their points as currency in a global online auction for the chance to win one of four star-studded packages granting exclusive access to the hottest GRAMMY events. One prize package was awarded to each of the winning bids received from the Americas, Europe, Middle East & Africa and Asia Pacific regions, respectively. The winning bids will be converted from HHonors points to their corresponding currency, and donated to The GRAMMY Foundation.
