Hilton Glasgow Set to Sparkle with Champagne Gourmet Night

Hilton Glasgow's contemporary restaurant Cameron's is set to hold a champagne gourmet evening boasting a sumptuous six course evening meal on Saturday, 26 March 2011.

The extensive menu showcases the talent of the award-winning chefs of Cameron's Restaurant, superbly led by head chef Derek Donaldson, and illustrates precisely why the restaurant has gained its prestigious reputation and is celebrated amongst both visitors to the city and residents of Glasgow.

The mouth-watering meal encompasses Scottish cuisines with an international touch, alongside an array of champagnes and fine wines guaranteed to satisfy the distinctive palates of each individual diner.

The evening will begin with an appetiser of Isle of Cumbrae oysters with bubbles, combining a serving of oysters with Piper-Heidsieck Brut NV, which will be the first taste of champagne offered on the evening.

Following this, a refreshing watermelon and champagne shot will be served before guests can enjoy a beautifully presented dish of West Coast seared hand dived scallop, chive risotto, parmesan, pancetta and pea foam with a glass of Pinot Grigio. Lamb loin will then be served along with confit shoulder with celeriac dauphinoise, savoy cabbage, tomato compote and basil jus with Chateauneuf-du-Pape.

A kir royale champagne ice lolly will then be served before a delicious dessert of a fusion of champagne and raspberry jelly, rosé champagne sorbet, saffron and champagne brûlée with Noble Late Harvest Reisling.
