BURTON-ON-TRENT, U.K. - Hilton at St. George's Park, Burton upon Trent, has announced the appointment of Nicola Underhill as the general manager of Hilton at St George's Park, home of the Football Association's landmark national Football Centre.

St George's Park opened in August 2012 and is home to all 24 England teams and an inspirational centre for coach education. With state-of-the-art conferencing, sport and medical facilities, the park is fast establishing itself as a world-class event and sporting venue attracting teams, athletes and corporate clients from far and wide.

Nicola Underhill takes over the position from Greg Crawford who opened the hotel in 2012 and left to take up a position at Hilton London Syon Park. Commenting on her appointment, Nicola Underhill said, "I am really excited about my new role in such a high profile hotel and I'm looking forward to joining an award winning team and continuing the great relationship between Hilton and the FA."

Nicola has worked as a General Manager for 14 years over a wide range of properties and joined the Hilton Portfolio at Hilton Garden Inn Birmingham Brindleyplace in January 2013. Nicola Underhill said she wanted to join a global organisation and considered Hilton Worldwide the best in the world. Over her extensive background of general manager experience Nicola has a proven record of developing the hotel and also an active member of Women in Business Association.

The team at Hilton at St George's Park have won many awards of the few years since opening and recently just won the brand awards in 2014 for 2014 European Housekeeping award and 2014 European Award of Excellence. In 2013 Hilton at St George's Park won the Connie Award which recognizes the property with outstanding customer service and quality leading their region in overall loyalty, cleanliness and condition. The award is the highest award Hilton can bestow and, bearing the name of the company's founder, recognizes hotels that bring to life Conrad Hilton's vision to fill the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality in exceptional ways.
