Brazilian Grill Master Brings Sizzling Dining Experience To Niagara Falls
Celebrate Brazilian Independence Day Early At The Hilton’s Brand New Brazilian Steakhouse
September 01, 2009
NIAGRA FALLS, Ontario -
The steak is cooked over an open range by a Brazilian Grill Master, specially seasoned and served by Brazilian gaúchos with South American flair. It's grilling churrasco-style and it has arrived in Niagara Falls with the opening of Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse & Wine Bar at the Hilton Hotel and Suites Niagara Falls/Fallsview.
This Thursday, in honour of Brazil's Independence Day (officially set for September 7), the Hilton Hotel & Suites Niagara Falls/Fallsview's new Brazilian Steakhouse played host to samba dancers in traditional Carnaval-style costumes, rhythmic Brazilian drummers and the authentic tastes of Brazil as the vibrant Brazilian culture is transported to Niagara Falls to celebrate one of Brazil's most festive holidays.
"Brasa will take dining in Niagara Falls to a new level, as it brings authentic Brazilian barbeque to this market," said Anthony Annunziata, Hilton Hotel and Suites VP of Marketing and Development. "We recruited a Grill Master and real gaúchos from Brazil to deliver a truely authentic experience. To recognize Brasa's authenticity, we'll be celebrating Brazilian Indepdence Day on September 3rd, " he added.
Under the direction of Southern Brazil native, Ricardo Zanona, Brasa's meat servers, called gaúchos, are trained in the unique serving styles of churrasco; roasting meats over pits of open fire. Dressed in traditional Brazilian attire, Brasa's gaúchos will serve guests 12 delectable cuts of fire-roasted beef, pork, lamb and chicken tableside - also part of the tradition. Salads and fresh grilled vegetables are offered on a buffet, while traditional Brazilian hot sides including, fried polenta and Brazilian cheese bread, are served family-style.
Brasa diners use a two-sided disk that gives them complete control over the pace of their meal. The green side of the disk signals the gaúchos to bring skewers of sizzling fire-roasted meats to the table and the red side indicates a stopping or resting point, so guests can eat and enjoy as much as they please.
"With Brasa, we wanted to offer our dining guests an authentic Brazilian experience, from the way food is cooked to the way it is served," Annunziata noted. "The food and service is wonderful and the atmosphere is fun."
In honour of Brazilian Independence day, Brasa will be offering guests from the Niagara Region, complimentary Valet parking and a 10% food discount for the month of September.
Samba Dancers in full costume will be performing at Brasa from 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Brasa is open daily for dinner from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. To make your reservations, call 905-353-7187.
